New Home Proposed for Escondido Library

Escondido City Council is proposing some changes for their downtown cultural center.

Escondido's growing population has outpaced the space and equipment in the city's main library, built in 1981.

City Council members Sam Abed and Olga Diaz have suggested moving the library to the museum at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. That would eliminate the need to raise money for a new library, and may generate patrons for the revenue-starved arts center.
